Facebook :)

Ok so we finally decided to get together and think about some ideas for marketing ourselves as an organisation. For some reason completely unknown to all of us we hadn't even bothered to consider the largest social media site in the world as a possible option??? I don't know, but basically the news is we are now on Facebook so like the page! (And share it or whatever else people do nowadays).

News game wise is that we now have a basic frame for the seeds inventory which is working very nicely. When we have sorted out the graphics screenshots will be coming your way so don't get too anxious. We have also implemented a distribution for the plants and a gun for collecting them. At the moment the inventory isn't saved so we need to finish that before any release of a new version, but as you can see progress is being made, slowly.

Back off the side-track :L

Ok so, in the past sort of month or so we have been busy working towards KAPUT 1.1 however in the mean time since the last update the lead dev took off to Japan. Additionally we tried the craziest thing we have ever tried which we weren't going to announce, but in a sense it failed so badly we thought we'd tell you anyway. Effectively, the goal was to implement virtual computers into KAPUT, but Nathan being mental decided to code his own language to do this rather than just use something like LuaJ? This was taking so long we gave up and you should see the next update before the end of December. Sorry for the wait :L

First Plants In Game!!!

I know this is like a really small thing but this really excited me. We now have plants that grow in game, as seen in the last post of concept art. I will be releasing images of more content when I have completed it, and also explain some of the new unannounced features that will be in the next update. Also, in the last two days Industrial Games have shot up in the developer charts on IndieDb! The current position is displayed in the box below the images. We have reached as high as the number 10 spot (out of 5444) so thanks for visiting the page. Again, if you want to visit the page click the box below. There is a similar box for KAPUT's ranking.

The bamboo in these images grew the fastest due to its nature. There will be features that allow you to bread plants together in order to speed up the growth rate of more useful plant life.

KAPUT Beta 1.1 Concepts Confirmed

For the latest Beta version of KAPUT, we have come up with some great new game features which will completely change the way you play. So far we have already implemented a save/load function that was featured in the video on IndieDb. If you haven't seen it go check it out at www.indiedb.com/games/kaput/videos/kaput-beta-11-preview. We are trying not to give the game away too much with this but this is the concept art. What do you think?

Industrial Games - now ONLINE!

Hello all!

We are a group of indie developers with some programming and game making skills behind us. Our current project is a game called KAPUT, a java-based side scrolling platformer that we are currently trying to generate some publicity for. It is currently posted at www.indiedb.com/games/kaput so head over there to take a look and see what you think. Regular posts will be made on the blog and large updates on IndieDb. Please subscribe and download the game! (link found on indiedb)
